Moskvich 1500 Elite

Moskvitš, venäjäksi Москвич 'moskovalainen', kansanomaisesti Mosse, oli venäläinen automerkki.

Moskvitšin historia alkoi toisen maailmansodan päätyttyä, kun Neuvostoliiton joukot olivat päässeet Saksassa Opelin tehtaan kohdalle. Stalin määräsi, että Opel Kadettin tuotantolinjat oli siirrettävä Neuvostoliittoon.

Tehtaalle annettiin viralliseksi nimeksi MZMA (Московский завод малолитражных автомобилей eli МЗМА, Moskovan tehdas autojen valmistukseen), joka muutettiin myöhemmin AZLK:si (Автомобильный Завод имени Ленинского Комсомола, Leninin nuorisoliiton autotehdas), jolla se tunnetaan edelleen. Moskvitšeja valmisti myös IŽ Iževskissä.

Vuonna 1947 aloitettiin Moskvitš 400:n tuotanto, joka oli aika tarkalleen Opelin kopio. 1960-luvulla kuvioihin astui "Elite", jonka moottorin rakenteesta tuli helposti mieleen BMW:n moottorit. Mitään yhteistyötä tehtaiden välillä ei ollut. 1980-luvulla tuli myyntiin Moskvitš Aleko, joka oli ulkonäöltään hyvin samanlainen ison Talbotin kanssa. Mitään yhteistyötä näidenkään tehtaiden välillä ei ollut.

AZLK ajautui konkurssiin 2002. Yrityksistä huolimatta tuotantoa tehtaassa ei ole saatu käynnistettyä uudelleen.
